Last year British style stalwart Burberry partnered up with Mythical Games to introduce Sharky B as Blankos Block Party's wildest playable character. Raising the bar to mythical heights they’re collaborating once again with the open-world game’s latest mythical mascot, Minny B the unicorn. Draped in the brand’s TB Summer Monogram, this winged equine is being launched as part of an exclusive NFT collection to coincide with the fourth annual NFT.NYC conference that begins this week in The Big Apple. Those lucky enough to get their hands on the digital work will unlock a treasure trove of in-game accessories like a monogram boombox, horseshoe necklace, and TB sliders for your own avatar to don.
The choice to return to the playful world of Blankos Block Party shouldn't come as a surprise after the massive success of the Sharky B NFT that sold out shortly after release. "The metaverse provides limitless opportunities for us to flex our imagination and connect with our customers in richer ways, and we’re excited to continue to experiment in this space." explains Burberry's VP of Channel Innovation, Rachel Waller. This time round, the brand is upping the ante by building a bespoke social space within the game called The Oasis. The cabana style virtual resort will further enhance the user experience for Burberry's customers as it was modelled after beach clubs in Ibiza, Saint-Tropez, and Singapore; all destinations of IRL pop-up events for the TB Summer Monogram capsule collection.
The exclusive NFT collection will be available for in-game purchase to players worldwide on 22 June.
