Lily McMenamy Fronts Campaign for Leather Goods Brand Delvaux
Lily McMenamy, the supermodel and daughter following in the footsteps of their mother, the fashion icon Kristen McMenamy, is the face of Delvaux's latest campaign. Bought by Richemont in 2021 to expand the luxury conglomerate's leather goods portfolio, the renowned Belgian leather goods brand continue to grow their forward-thinking legacy with a visual celebration of two iconic house styles, modelled by extraordinary women.
Titled The Leather Mastery, Delvaux's latest project has the maison's savoir-faire at its core, reinterpreting two handbag styles with new techniques which push leather craftsmanship into the future. The 'Leather D' technique sees water jet-cut leather panels and hand-sewn D-shaped panels instil a sense of movement to the usually static handbag. Then comes the artisanal ‘macramé’ Enlaced effect on each bag, with twisting bands of leather curving around the iconic D-shaped buckle of the Cool Box, also creating a new sense of texture in the Brillant. The Brillant was first created for the Brussels World Fair in 1958. Inspired by the modernist architecture of Le Corbusier, it set the tone for Delvaux's forward-thinking work today.
Unveiled in a campaign photographed by Koto Bolofo, McMenamy stars alongside premiere danseuse of the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris, Hannah O’Neill, and fashion model and activist Nyasha Matonhodze, all of whom strike a series of dynamic poses. Titled L’Oeil de Koto Bolofo, Delvaux's campaign is an ode to outstanding talent.
