Discussing the importance of sustainability in fashion, The Future of Fashion Sustainability spotlighted emerging talent credited with pioneering change while hosting a heated panel discussion centred around innovative processes and design habits - all grounded in tackling a more sustainable future in fashion.
Hosted by Tafari Hinds of IS IT NEWS, the panel welcomed sustainable goddess Priya Ahluwalia - recently recognised as Leader of Change at the Fashion Awards 2021, Paula Sello and Alissa Aulbekova, founders of digital fashion house Auroboros (https://www.auroboros.co.uk/), Georgia-Rae Taylor, sustainability strategist at Eco-Age and The Face editor and sustainability advocate, TJ Sidhu.
As changemakers sat next to industry peers, the evening explored digital concepts in a bid to move away from waste and a more circular economy, with the aim to provide a broad overview of the benefits and solutions that support a better future for the industry, as well as dissect what barriers there are to progress.
The evening comes as one of the many initiatives the industry has recently launched in dedicated to committing to a more circular economy. The fashion industry has talked the talk for years, 2022 seems to be the year it's finally walking the walk.
