Louis Vuitton Is Heading To Italy For It’s Cruise 2024 Show
If season two of The White Lotus didn’t already have you dreaming of a summer holiday in Italy, then Louis Vuitton just might. The maison has announced today that it’s heading to Lake Maggiore for its Cruise 2024 show. As the second largest lake in Italy, the picturesque backdrop is home to Isola Bella of the Isole Borromee. Literally translated as ‘beautiful island’, the land is home to the Palazzo Borromeo which is renowned for its Baroque garden.
Louis Vuitton is set to be the very first fashion brand to host a runway show on the island. The 17th century structure has been in the hands of the Borromeo family for over four centuries and is one of the oldest landmarks the maison has ever staged a show at. The maison's creative director Nicholas Ghesquire has previously held shows at John Lautner's Bob & Dolores Hope Estate in Palm Springs, and Oscar Niemerye's Contemporary Art Museum in Niterói. A stark departure from the post-modern locales to host Ghesquire's futurist inspired collections, we can't wait to see how the designer will incorporate Italian Baroque into his upcoming collection.
