The latest drop from the collaborative capsule collection from Nike and Virgil Abloh arrives 14 November.

The latest drop of the Nike x Virgil Abloh Athlete in Progress capsule collection is scheduled for 14 November 2019, with world champion 200m sprinter Dina Asher-Smith starring in campaign imagery and highlighting the Nike x Off-White ‘VaporStreet’ shoe design.

Debuting on the Off-White runway in Paris, the Athlete in Progress capsule saw athletes Dina Asher-Smith, Vashti Cunningham, Cecilia Yeung, English Gardener, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Nafi Thiam, Caterine Ibarguen and Rénelle Lamote swap the running track for the catwalk. The collection's first drop arrived back in June 2019, with 800m champion Caster Semenya headlining and an initial limited release of the Nike x Off-White 'Zoom Terra Kiger' shoe.

Abloh tapped into the rich heritage of Nike in track and field, creating a collection that strikes a balance between performance product and post-run apparel and footwear inspired by Nike’s archive of running shoe designs.

Said Abloh of his Nike partnership: ‘I started talking with Nike about this women’s running project last summer and at the time, I was very much inspired by the aesthetic and style of track and field athletes. As a result, I invited some of Nike’s elite track and field champions to participate in my S/S 19 Off-White runway show as the natural forerunner to developing and showcasing the collection.'

To celebrate the collection's second instalment, Off-White teamed up with creative agency Bone Soda to host an athletics meet at the Lee Valley Sports Centre in East London, in which 12 teams of five competed in events, all wearing the new product.
