OG Influencer Leandra Cohen Launches Collaboration with SOEUR

Previously the head editor of Man Repeller, the fashion website which glorified women dressing for themselves, Cohen has now worked on a summer capsule collection with French label Soeur that encompasses the je ne sais quoi of modern city dressing.
Soeur is 'the perfect fusion of boyishness and softness that I try to express in my own look', explains Leandra Cohen of the cult French label she has just collaborated with on a five-piece summer capsule collection. Rising to notoriety in the 2010s as an OG style influencer on the fashion week circuit during the height of street style photography, Cohen was the head editor Man Repeller, a leading feminist fashion website which covered topical debate, humorous think-pieces, and, of course, heapings of style inspo. Since the website closed in 2020, she has recently founded the Café Leandra site and Substack newsletter The Cereal Aisle. Now, she's merging her eclectic aesthetic with that of the 2008-founded French label.
Emblazoned with a collaborative label merging Café Leandra's art-deco-style logo with Cohen's flamingo motif, the collection encompasses the French je ne sais quoi that Soeur embodies. A pink-and-pastel-green striped poplin shirt is thrown on with luxe green shantung silk shorts, the look finished with a bi-material clutch. Cohen wanted to capture her own androgynous-meets-girl-about-town look, natural meets cool: 'I contacted and met the Soeur teams after coming across their site last year, and I could immediately relate to the style and sensitivity of their work.'
The collection launches 29 May 2023 on soeur.uk and at selected points of sale.
