Pringle of Scotland has launched their latest endeavour, a capsule collection with the knitwear house's famous Argyle pattern at its core called Pringle: Reissued. Its first drop, titled Volume 1, comprising jumpers, cardigans, t-shirts, socks and accessories.

With a rich history of over 200 years, Pringle of Scotland's Argyle has become an unmistakable design. The distinctive diamond motif, Argyle, originally derives from the tartan of the Clan Campbell of Argyll in western Scotland and would have featured on kilts, plaids, and pattern socks worn by Scottish Highlanders since the 17th century. With a revisit to the knitwear house's archives, Pringle: Reissued displays bold colour combinations including vibrant turquoises and yellows, and oranges and forest greens, that mirror those of original 1980s pieces. In keeping with the #throwback theme, Dublin-born photographer Joshua Gordon, known for shooting life on the fringes, has captured industry friends model and guitarist Lennon Gallagher, pro-skateboarder Lucien Clarke, model and muse Jess Maybury, neo-jazz artist Tara Lily and model Jyrrel Roberts donning the new designs in a simple but effective nostalgia-inspired campaign, with muted lighting that highlights the colourful argyle.

Launching in September on pringlescotland.com the collection will also be available in London’s Dover Street Market.
