SHOWstudio have announced this year's Fashion Film Awards, set to take place in October 2019 in partnership with the esteemed luxury department store, Harrods. Emerging fashion filmmakers from around the world will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, ideas and creativity to industry experts, in a celebration of the artistic medium.
'Every fashion designer creates their garments to be seen in motion – therefore, fashion film is the best way to understand their vision', is a statement Nick Knight stands by. It was for this reason that he first set up SHOWstudio in 2000. Always seeking to test and confront the limits of image-making, Knight has pioneered the use of AI, 3-D technologies, virtual reality and digital body scanning in his fashion films. These have been shown proudly on SHOWstudio and in world-renowned galleries.
