Extracting the Reclypse sneakers in all their glory from the A/W 21 collection, Stella McCartney have once again upped the innovation game for all, proving luxury can indeed be sustainable (while also designing styles that we're sure are soon to become fashion's hottest item).
Described by the Stella McCartney team as a 'stylish blend of athleticism and escapism', the label's latest sneaker collection only add to McCartney's latest efforts in fighting for a more circular system that reduces needless waste in the fashion industry.
Each stylistic component of the Reclypse sneakers has been carefully thought through - with an upper made from recycled polyester to a sole containing plant-based and renewable materials - Stella McCartney's done it again. To top it all off the collection's materials have all been sustainably-sourced from pre and post-consumer waste like carpets and fishing nets.
Although the planet and its inhabitants (yes, that's us) was issued a code red warning for humanity only last month, not all hope is lost. Now is the time, more than ever, for us to put our best foot forward in a collective stride to make this world habitable for generations to come, passing down the baton of hope to the next generation of activists who are already campaigning for change. Something Stella McCartney has exceptionally been doing for the best part of two decades.
As stylish as ever, the (vegan-friendly) style will be available in four colourways from 8 September, all stamped with the signature sporty Stella McCartney logo on the side.
