Harrods is the first London location to welcome the latest arrival of the 'Gucci Pin' series, this time paying homage to the Gucci 'Beloved Lines' collection.

Said to provide an 'immersive' shopping experience, the Harrods Gucci Pin: Beloved series celebrates the art of the bag - the love it can offer and the love it can be given in return, through being used time and time again. Or as Gucci have said, 'transcending seasons and trends', (quite literally too, as Alessandro Michele has taken the fashion house down a different path to most, meaning Gucci's collections are now seasonless as well as genderless).

As far as accessories go, handbags take the biscuit when it comes to being a 'must-have' item. After the rise of the 'it' bag in the 90s and 00s, women everywhere and anywhere have been pining to have a show-stopper hanging off the crook of their arm, making the Gucci Beloved Lines collection a perfect accessory that will also double up as a woman's best friend. 'It's just a little bag' says Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw in one of the series' early episodes, 'but we'd be naked without it' - no words have been able to sum up the simplicity nor the complexity of a woman's relationship with bags since.

The Gucci Beloved Lines collection couldn't be a better fit for you if you're currently looking for your perfect (bag) match. There's the Dionysus, which, coming as no surprise due to its name, references the Greek god Dionysus; the classic GG Marmont, inspired by a distinctive buckle used at the house in the 70s, the Gucci Horsebit 1955 - said to be a study of an archival piece dating to the eponymous year - and the Jackie, 1961; emblematic of the 60s and 70s jet-set lifestyle long associated with Gucci.

Laid out in the store like drops of colourful candy, inspired by the pins seen on interactive digital maps, the Pin includes crates, packing bands and chips, bringing its visitors a handbag delight. Enriched by a colourful neon installation, which plays in contrast to the classic retro styles on display, the Harrods fixture is a futuristic dome that ironically presents styles inspired by some 50-year-old references; a delectable contradiction for the Harrods customer to feast on.
