TOD’S Academy enters the next stage of the design laboratory project with Istituto Marangoni students in Florence and Milan.
Following on from a collaboration with Central Saint Martins in London, TOD'S Academy has set their sights on the next group of future fashion innovators as their design laboratory and mentoring scheme moves to Istituto Marangoni in Florence and Milan. The program provides students with international mentors including Tonne Goodman (sustainability editor, Vogue USA) and Gianluca Longo (style editor, British Vogue and style director, The World of Interiors) as well as the opportunity to work with the TOD'S team to reinterpret the house codes with an eye for sustainability.
With students in the academy using environment-forward materials like recyclable rubber and cork in their designs and creating collection concepts that range from Venetian platforms to aliens taking an Italian holiday, TOD'S are bringing in fresh perspectives and pairing them with classic artistry to craft a new vision for fashion.
