Following the news of the devastating earthquake that's hit Turkey and Syria, we've put together a list of charities who are asking for donations to help those most affected.

SHOWstudio wholeheartedly stands in support of those affected by the devastating earthquakes on the Turkish-Syrian border that have reached a 7.8 magnitude. As of Friday 10 February, more than 21,000 people have been confirmed dead with that number only expected to exponentially rise due to the 72 hour window for finding those trapped under rubble alive has now passed.

Although it can be difficult to know how to best respond and assist the victims on the ground, shelter, food, warmth and other essential supplies are still needed to aid people's safety during this time. Find below a SHOWstudio compiled list of confirmed donation links that are sending relief to those impacted by this natural disaster that has tragically altered the lives of more than 20 million people.

TURKEY AND SYRIA-BASED CHARITY ORGANISATIONS

  • Syria Civil Defence (otherwise known as The White Helmets) is a volunteer organisation that operates in parts of opposition-controlled Syria and in Turkey. Since being founded in nine years ago, they have saved upwards of 120,000 lives. To donate, click here.
