Here's the SHOWstudio team's top picks vis-à-vis the Milan Fashion Week schedule for A/W 20.

'So far this fashion month we haven't seen anything from Jeremy Scott. He announced he wouldn't be showing as usual as part of the New York schedule, instead postponing his show to coincide with couture week in July. Therefore, Moschino's going to have to be the place to get our Scott fix: seeing as his previous two shows have incorporated such wide-ranging themes as The Price Is Right and Picasso, who knows what to expect, apart from more-is-more kitsch?'

Moschino's S/S 20 campaign saw the Picasso-themed collection donned by Bella Hadid et al in the guise of an eighties girl band.

Christina Kapourtzoudi, editorial intern

'I think I am more interested in Alessandro Michele as a creative than I am about Gucci itself, and that's a tricky thing for a fashion house. I am waiting to see how Michele is going to follow up his previous collection, if he is going to challenge himself or if we will end up with more extravagant and costume-like synthesis.'

Calum Knight, content editor

'Yes, I am yet another convert of Daniel Lee’s Bottega Veneta. Sue me. The cuts, the colours and the double-take styling choices mean I am champing at the bit to see where A/W 20 leads Lee and his slinky and seductive take on the heritage house. It is rare for there to be such continued anticipation season after season for a relatively new face, yet with four British Fashion Awards under his belt, Lee’s meteoric rise since assuming the Veneta throne in June 2018 has been anything but ordinary. I'm hoping the collection will start where pre-fall left off, with more Billie Eilish-esque Intrecciato puffers, shearling accessories and a completely unfazed, "fuck you" attitude.'

Georgina Evans, fashion editor

'I stan Francesco Risso. He is the trippy dippy eclectic genius that Milan Fashion Week can't do without. Marni is one of my absolute favourites on the schedule and Risso's collections are sensual and exciting with a dollop of whimsy. His menswear collection was an absolute belter despite being more commercial overall. The womenswear is usually an echo of the menswear so I wonder if we'll have raving, sweaty dancers again... One can hope.'

Hetty Mahlich, editorial assistant

'Who knows how Donatella will top that glorious J-Lo 2000 moment from Versace S/S 20, but you can be sure she’ll give it her best shot. Following the Gianni Versace tribute show of S/S 18 and numerous revamps of the infamous Liz Hurley safety pin dress (including Pre-Fall 19), hopes to see a more refined edit from Versace are most likely in vain but at least we’re in for some more cracking throwbacks.'
