Cindy Crawford by Suzy Platt

published on 2 November 2018

“I loved wearing this Versace dress to the Oscars. It was my first big Hollywood event and I was just starting to make a name for myself as a model. This was before The Academy Awards were as much about the fashion as the awards. I had just come back from doing the Versace show in Milan and saw this dress in black on the runway. I asked Gianni to make it in red for me. I loved how it reminded me of a modern day Jessica Rabbit with a sexy slit up the back. Versace dresses always make me feel sexy and strong. Like a woman who likes men but doesn’t need them in order to feel good about herself.”
