“The image I chose, is an outtake from a Tim Walker shoot I did a few years ago for British Vogue... I’m stripped down, no makeup, hair back, in androgynous clothes. Nothing in this image suggests the male gaze version of sexuality. I feel powerful and strong in my body, and it feels genderless and strong yet also delicate at the same time. In short, I feel like myself in this image, even if the fashion isn’t over the top. Its simplicity is its strength.”
