Launched on 01 September 2004
On 3 June 2004 Alexander McQueen returned to the London catwalk - after a three-year absence - for one night only. In association with his long-term sponsor American Express, ‘Black’ was an ambitious performance that re-staged many of the defining moments of McQueen's legendary fashion shows. Iconic McQueen collaborators Michael Clark and Kate Moss were invited to begin the proceedings in a crowd-pleasing dance duet and the catwalk extravaganza was followed by a ‘Black’ themed auction and a decadent party. See the event documented here through film and impromptu reportage cameraphone photographs.
