Ahead of the A/W 14 menswear season, respected retailer MATCHESFASHION.COM teams with SHOWstudio to celebrate the diversity and dynamism of London Collections: Men and to highlight their commitment to supporting British talent.
MATCHESFASHION.COM currently stocks 23 brands participating in London Collections: Men, from Savile Row tailoring to emerging names. In 2013 they worked on exclusive capsule collections with British labels including Richard Nicoll, Richard James, YMC, and Folk, and in 2012 they launched an in-store installation celebrating the best British talents during London Fashion Week. Ruth Chapman, joint CEO and co-founder of the retailer, is on the BFC NEWGEN Selection panel, and Menswear Buying Manager Damien Paul is on the NEWGEN MEN and Fashion Forward Men’s Selection Panels.
As part of SHOWstudio and MATCHESFASHION.COM's collaboration, four designers from the retailer's offer - Jonathan Saunders, Agi & Sam, Mr Hare and Oliver Spencer - sat down with Lou Stoppard to discuss LC:M and the spirit of London menswear in SHOWstudio's signature panel format. Additionally, writer and stylist Simon Chilvers, who works as men's style director of MATCHESFASHION.COM, offered his thoughts on London's rich style history and the future of LC:M in an exclusive interview.
