Sarah Nicole François: Sarah Nicole François, digital artist and designer.

SNF: First generation Haitian-American.

  • What inspires you?

SNF: Life.

  • What is the ambition behind your practice?

SNF: I use my practice to bridge the gap of my ancient ancestral practices and beliefs with the ever-changing tech focused world I exist in. My goal is to explore, and continue to evaluate, who I am and what I am becoming and where do the two meet?

  • What did you hope to convey with your Bodies Of Knowledge film?

SNF: This film's focus was to convey the intrinsic connection between the spiritual sense and the gut in African Diasporic cultural and religious practices and highlight the sacral energy that emits from bodies capable of conceiving life. There is a constant energy flow emitting from our gut, and in the perspective of spirit having dominion over our bodies, explore what role the stomach plays.
