Submission Guidelines 

Submit your video by uploading it to YouTube or Vimeo with its privacy settings set as 'Unlisted'.

Then, to apply, send the following to

  • Your unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link
  • A WeTransfer download link
  • Your selected still from the film
  • The name of your film and a short description
  • The film’s credits
  • Your name
  • Your telephone number or a point of contact (so that we can get in touch if you are the winner)
  • Your location

The WeTransfer link to download your film should contain an HD .mp4 file of your film, suitable for web use. We will inquire for your film in hi res .mov if you are chosen as a finalist. 
All entries will be reviewed and added to our submissions gallery at a given moment during the two-month submission period. 
Submissions close at 23:59 BST Sunday 15 September 2019.

Terms of Entry

  • Films must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with privacy settings set as 'Unlisted'.
  • No clear images of children (under 18) are to be used in any film without their parents' written consent.
  • All films must not breach copyright law. In particular, please be aware of the music you use, any in-game footage and any images or video content.
  • Films received after the competition closing date cannot be considered for the competition.
  • Only one entry per person.
  • Entrants retain the rights to all films whilst SHOWstudio and Harrods Ltd retains the right to use submissions online, for social and at festival venues.
  • Award winners and finalists will have their films shown at the Fashion Film Award ceremony as well as Harrods owned channels & within store. All entrants should be available to attend the event (held in October in London, UK).
  • All submissions could appear on SHOWstudio & Harrods Ltd owned channels for the duration of the competition and may be shared by our partners in promotion of the Fashion Film Award.
  • Winners will be chosen by our panel of judges and announced at a later date.
  • Please note that SHOWstudio and Harrods Ltd will be sharing submissions and successful films via our social media networks.
  • Participants must keep high quality copies of their submission, should their submission be chosen as a finalist.
  • SHOWstudio reserves the right to re-classify your film as we see fit. 
  • Finalists’ films may be reformatted to suit Harrods’ chosen presentation format. 
  • Entries submitted by anyone under 18 or featuring anyone under 18 not accompanied by a consent form signed by their parents will not qualify for the competition.
  • Films submitted to the SHOWstudio Fashion Film Award must meet all terms and conditions, guidelines and official rules to qualify for the competition.
