Fashion Film: The Shadowed Home

by Iz Lucente on 20 August 2021

Drawing inspiration from many of Hitchcock's films including Psycho, Rear Window, and Vertigo to name a few, Isabelle Lucente's The Shadowed Home deals with her own feelings of paranoia at returning home due to the pandemic.

Made in response to showcasing her final year collection while studying at New York's Parsons School of Design, the film is set in a traditional home, devoid of all life apart from the misplaced sightings of ghosts. Each haunted creature is seen sporting one of Lucente's own creations that range from costume to evening-wear. The Shadowed Home is guaranteed to arouse a high level of suspense, keeping you glued to the edge of your seat, (that's if you haven't jumped out already). As the film evokes memories of childhood nightmares, be prepared for your senses to be kicked into fight or flight mode, this one is for those who enjoy a thriller or two.
