Interview: Tom Wandrag on CGI and Virtual Living

Digital artist Tom Wandrag speaks to long-term collaborator Nick Knight about CGI technology. Covering their working relationship from when Wandrag started out as Knight’s digital retoucher, the pair discuss creating a CGI campaign for Burberry featuring Kendall Jenner. With CGI a technology still in its infancy, they also talk about its potential for growth, why creatives should embrace and help to evolve it, and the potential dangers of this exciting technology.

‘We are all living our lives more and more on an online world, and I personally see CGI as a way of capturing that in some sense. It is a way for us to represent an experience and put out there our understanding of where we now, virtually.’ Tom Wandrag
