Poem: The Heels Peak
SHOWstudio tasked the poet Sonny Hall with putting into words the deeply affecting impact fashion can have on an audience, asking him to respond to the most striking moments from the S/S 21 and A/W 21 collections using the art form he holds most dear.
For his second poem, Hall chose Look 25 from the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus A/W 21 collection, writing The Heels Peak in response.
‘There are many expressive and emotive elements to fashion, as in poetry. Many great dreamers and artists exist making fashion also. I am always mostly drawn to these designers [Comme des Garçons and Maison Margiela]. They create neat disruption and always make me feel something.’
