Sketch for ‘Feria,’ from Christian Lacroix’s first own-label haute couture collection. The skirt is based on a caparison, the quilted covering used to protect a horse’s flanks during a picador’s fight with a bull. It was worn on the catwalk by Anna Bailey - Lacroix gave her videos of bullfighters to watch to inspire her before she went on to the catwalk.
