Objects on Knight’s desk at SHOWstudio’s former headquarters in Belgravia, London, include a sculpture of Daphne Guinness that he created using a 3-D scan of her body. The pair share an interest in new technologies and the interplay between science and art. Also on Knight’s desk is his iPhone, which he regularly uses in lieu of a traditional camera, and a portrait of Sid Vicious shot by Bob Gruen in 1978. On the wall is another of Knight’s sculptures, created using a 3-D scan of Kate Moss.

Over her career, Daphne Guinness has expressed herself through various media. Music has always been a passion of hers, and in 2013 she launched her debut single, “Fatal Flaw,” the lyrics to which appear here in her handwriting.

Though later known for campaigns featuring group shots of diverse, eclectic models, Riccardo Tisci recruited Maricarla Boscono to appear alone in his debut campaign for Givenchy, shot by Inez and Vinoodh for F/W 2005.

Fashion photography has been central to building up the language of J.W.Anderson and Loewe. For both labels, Jonathan Anderson and Benjamin Bruno collaborate with British photographer Jamie Hawkesworth. Bruno and Hawkesworth began working together on magazine projects when the photographer was just a few years out of college. Images such as this, from the F/W 2012 issue of Man About Town that featured Anderson’s S/S 2013 collection, inspired the designer. “When Ben started shooting for Man About Town, with Jamie Hawkesworth, it was the newest thing I’d ever seen,” he recalls. Explains Bruno, “I said to Jamie, ‘It has to be something different.’ It had to be, again, a conversation—a different dialogue. I surprised myself initiating a new aesthetic. And this coincided with that aesthetic for J.W.Anderson. So in the end, everything became more global, because it was not just about ready-to-wear. It was about fashion.”
