Working with R&B artist Audrey Nuna, the luxury fashion platform unveil their digital collaboration ‘Glamour as Armour’ for the music video ‘Jokes on Me’.

At the forefront of fashion and technology is SYKY Collective. Comprised of 10 digital designers, the community-driven fashion platform is looking firmly to the future of Web 3.0 with the creation of boundary-pushing digital fashion. Hot off the heels of artistic director Nicola Formichetti’s ‘phygital’ activation at London Fashion Week earlier this year, SYKY Collective are unveiling their new digital collection ‘Glamour as Armour’.

Designed in collaboration with collective member Fanrui Sun from Sunw, and Korean-American R&B artist Audrey Nuna. Together the duo have created a custom digital collection that will be featured in the music video for Nuna’s hotly anticipated ‘Jokes on Me’. As the musician's first foray into digital fashion, the collection comprises two original pieces that represent her artistic liberty.

‘I have admired Sunw’s groundbreaking work as a digital artist and I am lucky to have been able to collaborate together to design a cool digital piece for ‘Jokes on Me’, explains Nuna. Sunw previously worked with SHOWstudio on Nick Knight’s ikon-1 NFT, creating digital fashion for Jazzelle’s virtual avatar.

The collection references space-age futurism and medical armour, as well as haute couture. The first piece, dubbed ‘Symphony’ is a battle-ready breastplate adorned with delicate detailing. The second piece takes on futurism with an opalescent space suit. Appropriately named ‘Galatic’, the suit is finished to look like the metallic Mother of Pearl.

The “Glamour as Armor'' collection will be available for purchase for 0.016 ETH each and for AR (augmented reality) try-on exclusively on SYKY.com. Holders of the collection will also gain exclusive perks like a virtual hangout with Sunw and Audrey Nuna, as well as an invitation to a SYKY social event with Audrey in NYC on May 14th.
