Karinna Nobbs

Academic

Karinna Nobbs is a freelance academic and retail strategist. She is a published author and guest lectures and researches on the digitalisation of the fashion industry at the London College of Fashion, Antwerp Management School, Hyper Island and Polimoda and she currently holds an affiliate Professorship at ESCP Europe. Nobbs consults as a futurist for agencies including Holition, Wednesday, King and Partners, S and Co and Sunshine where she has facilitated insight and innovation for Coty Inc, Estee Lauder Group, IBM, Balmain and BMW Group.

She has also undertaken strategy projects directly with brands including La Prairie, AirBnB, The Vampire’s Wife and SWEAR London. Nobbs is the social media editor for Vestoj and has co-produced courses for the Business of Fashion and Frieze Academy.

She regularly contributes to industry debate through presenting and moderating at events including SXSW, IFA and Social Media Week and providing commentary and guest blog posts for publications like WSGN, WWD, The Guardian, Sky News and BBC Radio.

In 2019, she launched a world first circular economy concept store in East London called A HOT SECOND.
