  • Business Development Manager

    SHOWstudio is looking for somebody to work hand-in-hand with our eCommerce Manager to grow our eCommerce platform. The position is perfect for somebody with a very strong eCommerce/Digital background who also has a very good understanding of the fashion and art industries, and who is on the pulse with what young artists/designers are creating. 

    The Business Development Manager will oversee and manage SHOWstudio online sales and expansion efforts, from developing long-term goals and strategies, as well as making sales and processing invoices. Specifically, you will be responsible for bringing new clients – both consumers and vendors – into the business, as well as fostering relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities to scale up the business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive sales and manage costs to achieve monthly sales and profitability targets
    • Source and select artwork and product for sale on website
    • Identify new clients, nurture relationships and source/secure new customers that are in line with the SHOWstudio brand to support and drive company growth
    • Identify and engage with young illustrators/photographers/designers that are in line with the SHOWstudio brand to sell online
    • Collaborate with eCommerce Manager to create exclusive merchandise for SHOWstudio
    • Provide qualitative analysis and marketplace input on buying and pricing decisions
    • Deliver a consistently well maintained, visually exciting and commercial environment both online and in studio
    • Manage the installation of product in the studioWork with the eCommerce Manager to ensure proper inventory records
    • Develop an on-going PR campaign and strategy, grow marketing campaigns
    • Create social media strategies and newsletters to promote product
    • Generate press coverage for special projects and product
    • Work closely with cross-functional organisations including marketing and product to support and achieve business growth strategies and objectives
    • Assist in gathering market intelligence by reporting noteworthy information regarding customers, competitors and the marketplace
    • Liaise with artists on pricing and terms of sale, organise shipment of artwork - both from artist to studio and from studio to client
    • Monitor all expenses, incoming and outgoing invoices, credit card statements, bank statement, oversee master sales documents
    • Liaise with accountant so that artists are paid when sales are completeWork with the Editorial team to create monthly reports that feature projects 
    • Arrange imagery for product, social media and press
    • Write product text for website, blog posts, newsletters, essays and press releases, upload product to site

    Desired skills and experience:

    • 4+ years experience in a sales or client facing role
    • Experience in eCommerce, auction house, ad sales, gallery/art sales or SaaS a plus
    • Commercial experience in a creative environment
    • Demonstrable team management skills, must also be a team player
    • Hands-on approach to work
    • Flexible and adaptable
    • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
    • Able to use own initiative, highly self-motivated and a self-starter
    • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Design Intern

    Working closely with SHOWstudio Art and Technical departments, the design intern will be exposed to and involved in designing and creating assets for our web site, email newsletters, films and the occasional print project.  This role best suits an enthusiastic student or graduate from a creative graphics or photography-related degree with an interest in fashion.

    In order to get the best out of the internship we require applicants to possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) is beneficial. Other skills that would be advantageous are basic video editing skills, Adobe AfterEffects, an understanding of HTML and an interest in 3D/interactive design.

    Good communication skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of tasks are also very beneficial. The work at the studio can be varied and so the learning environment is particularly suited to an individual possessing strong organisational skills, ability to work in very fast paced a fast-paced and time-pressured environment with excellent attention to detail.

    As well as general 'running' tasks expected in any busy design studio, interns often have the unique opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes at photo shoots and live performances with some of the world’s leading fashion and music creative’s.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 12 weeks. SHOWstudio will contribute to lunch and travel expenses.

  • Gallery & E-Commerce Intern

    Assisting our Associate Gallery Director Niamh White, and Ecommerce Manager Mariana Kazarnovsky, this internship is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing area of the business.

    This role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills. The successful applicants will assist all areas within the gallery and e-commerce department, gaining work experience in:

    • Monitoring and processing orders and inventory management.

    • Assisting in implementing online marketing campaigns.

    • Research, writing and assisting with planning.

    • Customer and visitor communication in person and over the phone.

    • Setting up exhibitions.

    • Assisting with administrative duties & ‘Running’ tasks

     

    The successful candidate will have the following Skills and Expertise:

    • Business acumen, creativity and enthusiasm.

    • Be organised and proactive.

    • Time management - ability to work to deadlines.

    • High attention to detail

    • Keen interest in the Fashion & Creative Arts industries.

    • Extensive knowledge of Social Media and Ecommerce.

    An Arts of Fashion focused Marketing or Management related degree is preferred as well as previous experience in the Luxury market.

    Assisting our Fashion Editor Lou Stoppard, this role will suit a student or graduate from a fashion journalism or similar degree who has a strong interest in writing. This role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills and an excellent command of the written word.

    Interns are responsible for administrative support, research and some writing as well as answering phones, looking after visitors and a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).

  • Production Intern

    Assisting our Production Manager Lauren Juska, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in production and a passion for the fashion and creative industries. 

    The internship will provide excellent hands on experience working within an active studio and online publisher. Working closely with all members of the team the production intern would experience live studio and broadcast production, event coordination, delivery of film series and fashion collection coverage as well as publishing timeline management.

    The internship is ideally suited to individuals with excellent organisational abilities, strong communication and administrative skills and ability to use common sense and logic to overcome obstacles and reach solutions. An interest in production is essential.

    Assisting our Fashion Film team this role will suit a student or graduate from a film making / photography degree who has a strong interest in film editing. This role requires strong editing skills and technical ability.

    Interns are responsible for film editing support including editing footage for SHOWstudio projects, syncing video and audio, sourcing video footage and creating basic grades amongst a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.
