Martine Sitbon graduated from the Fashion Design course at the Studio Berçot in 1974. Launching her own label in 1986 and the first flagship store in 1996, between these dates Sitbon designed for the house of Chloe for 9 seasons. In 1999, Sitbon introduced menswear to her brand, a brand that had been developing its identity in collaboration with graphic designers M/M Paris and Nick Knight. The following year Martine Sitbon was the subject of a retrospective at the prestigious Hyère Festival.
Rue de Mail by Martine Sitbon was launched in 2006 as Sitbon began a new phase of her brand by bringing her studio, atelier and boutique together at 5, Rue de Mail.
Sitbon's styles mixes elements of classic Parisian chic with rock and roll, sharp daywear and cocktail appealing to a following that includes Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Zoe Cassavetes and Gwyneth Paltrow.
