Columbine Goldsmith

Photographer

Columbine Goldsmith was born in Los Angeles, California and started taking pictures after her father, a cinematographer, gave her an old Nikon FG-20 on a trip to Mexico. After graduating from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, she lived in Europe and then returned to the US to start assisting photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Norman Jean Roy, Sebastian Kim and many others.

She has shot for Vogue, Vanity Fair, NYT, and i-D. After moving to Paris, she became interested in video and directed her first short film in collaboration with NOWNESS. After her film featuring Kendall Jenner reading from a Mean Girls-inspired 'Burn Book' went viral, Goldsmith started shooting commercials for global brands, including Google, Sony, Dior, L’Oréal, Spotify, Hermes, and Tiffany & Co. She continues to do portrait and fashion photography for magazines such as Vogue, Porter, ELLE, and others.
