Helen Clifford is a writer and tutor at the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Royal College of Art. Helen read history as an undergraduate, after which she joined the V&A/RCA History of Design MA. After completing her Ph.D. on 18th century London-made silver, Helen taught Art History at the Universty of Essex, becoming Leverhulme Research Fellow at Balliol College, Oxford before returning to the V&A/RCA to teach. Helen is a member of the Association of British Designer Silversmiths, a Liveryman of the Goldsmiths' company, a fellow of the society of Antiquaries, craft advisor to Southern Arts and is highly committed to promoting contemporary silversmiths. Clifford is currently Honorary Fellow at the University of Warwick.
