Katja Mayer

Katja Mayer is a German-born fashion photographer, artist and lecturer based in London. Upon studying for her Master's degree in Photography in 2010 at the London College of Communication, Mayer began teaching as a sessional lecturer across a number of courses at the UAL and has given artist talks at the Design Department in Düsseldorf and British Higher School of Art & Design in Moscow.

Her work has been included in several group shows since she had her first solo exhibition in London in 2012 titled Days Lost. Mayer is a member of the photographic collective Specular Assembly and her work is now part of the permanent collection at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art.

Her commercial clients include Alexander Wang, Azzedine Alaïa, Burberry, COS, Fred Perry, HOBBS, Levi’s and Louis Vuitton.
