Rachel Chandler

Born in Los Angeles, photographer Rachel Chandler moved to New York to study History of Art at the city's Gallatin School, simultaneously undertaking a number of internships with arts organisations and photographers that included Patrick Demarchelier. Known for providing an intimate portrayal of the social and creative scene in which she works, lives and operates in, Chandler began to photograph for Purple Diary after meeting its editor Olivier Zahm through mutual friends, and is also a contributing photographer to Vogue.com and previously, Industrie online.

She co-founded the New York modelling agency, Midland Agency, with Walter Pearce.
