Deborah Milner

Fashion Designer

Deborah Milner is a British fashion designer. Originally from London, Milner began her fashion career at Saint Martin’s School of Art (now known as Central Saint Martins), where she graduated with a degree in Fashion Design in 1987. Milner continued her studies at the Royal College of Art, where she graduated with an additional Fashion degree in 1990.

With a strong educational foundation as her launch pad, Milner established her own couture atelier in 1991, creating original pieces in collaboration with leading names in the fashion industry, including Philip Treacy.

From 2004, Milner worked with the late Alexander McQueen as a senior pattern cutter, using her talent for creating beautiful, architectural shapes to prepare show pieces in Paris. In 2003, Milner traveled to Brazil, where she spent a year developing environmental sustainability initiatives to help preserve the country’s vast natural resources. In 2005, Milner partnered with the Aveda Corporation to create eight original couture dresses under the label Ecocouture. In 2016, following eight years working with Alexander McQueen as a consultant on couture, Milner re-established her own couture label working from her studio based in central London.
