Declan Sheils has styled the hair of some of the biggest names across fashion and film, from Kate Moss to Tilda Swinton. His work has appeared in Burberry and Chanel campaigns, and been shown in Vogue, Dazed and Elle among numerous other publications since his career began in 2000.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Sheils moved to London to pursue his career, initially teaching alongside the world-renowned Toni & Guy International Artistic team. Following this, Sheils moved into session work, assisting esteemed hair stylists during London Fashion Week. He would then go on to work as Sam McKnight’s first assistant – a position he held for three years.
Sheils has since gained distinction for his own recognisably retro aesthetic, which makes use of colour and volume, and reflects his beginnings as a salon colourist.
