Eszter Kantor has over 13 years of experience in EU policy having worked in Hungary, the United Kingdom and Belgium. She has a wealth of public policy background merging governmental experience with that of private consultancies. Most recently she has been working at the US Mission to the European Union as a specialist for the Foreign Commercial Service, where she was handling market access and competition issues on a number of high profile cases. She has worked closely with the Commission, the European Parliament and Member State representatives as well as US governmental agencies including the State Department and Treasury. Previously, she was a senior consultant at Ecorys Brussels, leading their policy research work on industry analysis and environmental issues.
Her main client being the European Commission; she was advising them on the socio-economic and environmental impacts of regulatory changes. Prior to her arrival to Brussels, Kantor spent 3.5 years in the United Kingdom working for Risk and Policy Analysts Ltd. Her published reports are accessible on the European Commission's website.
A graduate of the University of San Francisco, Kantor speaks English, Hungarian and Italian.
