Hetty Mahlich is a writer from South East London. After studying for a foundation diploma at Kingston University specialising in Fashion Communication, she earned a BA degree in History of Art from the University of Bristol. She continues to explore her interests in representations of adolescent identity within fashion, photography and contemporary culture.
Mahlich has worked as a stylist's assistant to Lucy Greene at Anti-Agency amongst others and has interned at Fifty Six PR. Since 2017, she has worked at womenswear designer Sadie Williams during Fashion Week, managing show production and assisting stylists Poppy Kain, Peghah Maleknejad and Beth Fenton. More recently, she assisted at SOS Steve Smith.
In 2017-2019, Mahlich was fashion editor and editor-in-chief respectively at Inter:Mission Bristol, an online arts and culture magazine which supports young creatives and writers. She also organised live art and music events and curated the platform's first printed publication. Mahlich joined SHOWstudio as editorial intern in 2019.
In December 2019, Mahlich was appointed Editorial Assistant at SHOWstudio.
