Julie Gilhart is a creative business consultant and founder of Julie Gilhart Consulting Inc, a boutique consultancy dedicated to creating, connecting and growing fashion brands with a desire to have a positive impact. She has worked with some of the most innovative companies in fashion, with clients including LVMH, The RealReal and Amazon. She currently sits on the boards of Mulberry, Parsons School of Design and Tomorrow Holdings. Prior to this, she worked as the senior vice president and fashion director at Barney’s New York for 18 years, and helped to build the roles of brands including Balenciaga, Givenchy, The Row, Rick Owens.

Gilhart has been an advisor to the LVMH Prize for Emerging Talent since its inception along with other important initiatives, including the CFDA + Lexus Fashion Initiative, the CFDA Elaine Gold Launch Pad, The Woolmark Prize and the newly established Business of Fashion China Prize. In addition, she has worked extensively with companies driving the sustainability movement, including the Global Fashion Agenda, the Copenhagen Fashion Summit and The Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Gilhart is sought out for her ability to identify and create innovative, often surprising connections and partnerships for brands, designers and organisations.
