Maarten van der Horst is a London-based fashion designer. Born in Holland, Van der Horst completed his BA at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem. During his studies he completed an internship with Chloé in Paris. Van der Horst then moved to London to study for his MA in Fashion at Central Saint Martins. His graduate collection saw the start of his now signature Hawaiian prints. For Spring/Summer 2012 he began his first season with Fashion East at London Fashion Week. In April 2012 he released a capsule collection, Maarten van der Horst for Topshop.
He was appointed to head of design at Courrèges.
