Michael Hauptman is an American photographer. After moving to New York in 2005 he worked as an assistant to Richard Burbridge. In 2010 he started pursuing his own photography and, since then, has published his first book titled Notes on something like life should be. Hauptman regularly contributes to BEAT, Dazed & Confused, the New York Times T Style Magazine, Untitled and Opening Ceremony amongst other publications and brands.
