Gorman's books include The Look: Adventures In Rock & Pop FashionReasons To Be Cheerful: The Life & Work Of Barney Bubbles, Straight with Boy George, Nine Lives with Goldie and the biography of Tommy Roberts, Mr Freedom: British Design Hero.

Among exhibitions Gorman has curated are Process: The Working Practices Of Barney Bubbles and Lloyd Johnson: The Modern Outfitter, as well as public shows investigating Malcolm McLaren’s engagement with fashion, music, art and design: Let It Rock at the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair and Art In Pop at Magasin Centre National d’Art Contemporain.
