Rob Unett

Artist

Rob Unett is a UK (London / Cornwall) based artist and image maker. Described as direct, bold and brave, Rob works immediately instinctively, using memories and experiences, subject research and the present world around him in order to respond to in all his work. Sex, gender, a pose, a gesture, movement, confusion, power and pain, destruction and construction, largely feature in the abstracted figures Rob depicts. His surfaces are soaked with media, swallowing arrays of colour and subjected to delicate lines, rhythmic washes, violent slashes, smears, tears or bleeds. Rob’s work has been featured in numerous publications, journals, exhibitions and events. Rob is actively involved in education and mentoring, collaborative work, community and out - reach ventures, in order to share his knowledge and experience, and to equally form and inform his work.
