Thomas Tait

Fashion Designer

Thomas Tait is a Canadian fashion designer based in London. Tait completed a technical degree in womenswear at College LaSalle in Montreal, followed by an MA in womenswear at Central Saint Martins. Tait graduated in 2010 and showed his debut collection at the London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 season.

The designer won the inaugural LVMH Prize in 2014 and was named Emerging Womenswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards, as well as the London Design Museum's Designer of the Year in 2015. He was announced as the winner of the inaugural Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize 2010 and was also selected by ASOS to launch their design venture ASOS INC.

Despite industry acclaim, Tait closed his line in 2016 as a result of financial pressure and health problems. He continues to work in design consultancy.
