Tim Lofts

Dubbing Mixer

Tim Lofts is a sound designer. Lofts began his career at Saunders & Gordon Studios where he quickly became one of the main sound designers, and company director. During his time there, he became one of London’s busiest sound designers working on high profile accounts such as British Airways, Vodafone, the National Lottery (It Could Be You!), Playstation, and Budweiser. Lofts has accumulated many awards for his work and regularly sits on judging panels and gives presentations to agency creative teams, students, producers and marketing teams on the skills of good sound design for TV, radio and online audio.

Lofts has often been a guest writer for industry magazines, including Televisual, Boards, Broadcast and Campaign. His skills were discussed in the Radio Advertising Bureau's publication Hall Of Fame; he’s consistently listed in the RAB list of Top Ten radio engineers.

As well as Lofts’ commercials work, he’s worked on a wide variety of other audio projects. Most notably his animation work includes Disney’s Pocahontas and Home on The Range, Aardman’s Wallace and Gromit and Calon TV’s double BAFTA-winning Hana’s Helpline.

In 2007, Lofts began running his own sound design company, On Air Sound Design Ltd, and continues to produce audio for multinational tv and radio commercials, short films, and online and multimedia content.
