Tobie Giddio is an artist and illustrator primarily working in either charcoal or collage. The results of the collage process are achieved by utilising brush and sumi ink with Pantone transparent colour overlays cut with a straight edge on paper.
As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in the late 1980’s, Giddio’s career began as the final fashion illustrator to illustrate advertisements for Bergdorf Goodman that ran in the New York Times weekly. As an illustrator she has created campaigns, editorials and packaging for clients including The New Yorker, SHOWstudio, Neiman Marcus, Apple, Twining’s Teas, Tiffany & Co. and Crest. She has been published in numerous publications championing fashion drawing including a whimsical collaboration with Amy Sedaris for her book I Like You, Entertaining Under The Influence.
