With the core of Moncler being the down jacket, which the Genius initiative invites international designers to reinterpret each year, highlights of the collection include sleeveless puffer coats, together with glossy skirts and cropped jackets which reinvent the traditional down jacket for a new era. Created with a utopian uniform in mind, the black, white and sand coloured collection features skintight leather boots with Williams' signature futuristic soles.
Titled The Point Where Light Meets Dark, technical craftsmanship is at the core of the collaboration. With a precise eye for carefully crafted luxe Italian fabrics and intricate construction at his own brand, Williams is the perfect candidate for merging a distinctly modern and urban aesthetic with that of outerwear brand Moncler's. The dark versus white colours are mirrored in a contrast of textures throughout; the shiny black puffers are made from laqué nylon, whilst white items made from opaque cotton offer a neat paradox. Long coats are made from nylon satin, chains line sleeveless duvet-like coats, whilst as leather trousers cement the edge customers expect from Williams.
