Aries has teamed up with sportswear brand New Balance to release a capsule collection.

Cult streetwear brand Aries has announced a collaboration with American sportswear label New Balance. The collaboration sees Aries reinterpret New Balance’s Made In England 991 trainer in two colourways, and a selection of apparel featuring graphic jersey pieces.

The collection is inspired by tribal streetwear, sportswear’s evolution into fashion and an outsider’s perspective of British style, and meshes Aries 'skate and rave' aesthetic with NB's classic normcore stylings.

New Balance’s Made In England 991 trainer has been reinterpreted for the exclusive collaboration, which sees Aries exploring a diverse array of materials in vibrant colours for NB’s archetypal shoe. Each 991 colourway features fluorescent mesh, bright yellow suede and pearlised leather. This colour scheme extends to the apparel pieces in the collaboration including tracksuits, short and long sleeved tees and ribbed socks featuring bold logos and bright colourways.

Aries’ creative director Sofia Prantera’s innovative take on the heritage sportswear brand includes a re-working of NB’s moniker, emblazoning the term ‘Unbalanced’ across the t-shirts in the range. 'The term Unbalanced seemed to fit perfectly as an Aries graphic but also as slogan to promote inclusivity and unpredictability and the way sportswear is evolving as the new uniform for everyday life,' Prantera explained.

Aries X New Balance will retail from £30 - £170 and the collection is available to buy on ariesarise.com and through an exclusive London pop-up on 25 October 2019.
