Buckle-up autophiles, Dior is entering the digital fashion race with a capsule collection for Gran Turismo 7. The Playstation-exclusive racing simulator is taking a trip to the atelier thanks to Dior Men’s creative director Kim Jones who’s introducing a plethora of branded gear for racers worldwide in the maison’s first foray into virtual fashion. The downloadable capsule collection features exclusive outfits and skins featuring the Parisian label’s signature motifs. Jumpsuits, helmets, gloves, and your favourite vehicles will be revamped with the brand’s oblique print, CD initials, and the number '47' as a reference to monsieur Christian Dior’s era-defining fashion show in 1947.
As more high-fashion brands experiment with digital fashion, Dior’s entry into the space differentiates from the rest with its immersive world-building. The inventive capsule collection also includes a customised De Tomaso Mangusta designed by Jones. Contrasting the exclusive golden tone are grey, branded racing stripes, and the brand’s signature number on the front hood that's hard to miss when you're speeding past the competition. As the perfect complement to the vintage model players will also receive a reinterpreted pair of ‘Diorizon’ modelled after the brand’s real-world trainer.
The Dior capsule collection will be available for download on Gran Turismo 7 from 25 August.
