The French house of Christian Dior will stage their Cruise 2025 collection in the grounds of Drummond Castle, returning to show in Scotland after nearly 70 years.
In 1955, Christian Dior took his designs to Scotland. Showcasing his Spring Summer collection in the ballroom of the iconic Gleneagles hotel, the runway show was followed by an evening of traditional Scottish dancing. Paris haute couture met with Scottish high society; the French Monsieur Dior had a love and fascination with the gardens and splendour which lay just over the channel. This June, Dior's womenswear creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri is returning to the UK to stage the brand's Cruise 2025 collection.
Set in the impressive Renaissance gardens of Drummond Castle, the Dior Cruise 2025 show reignites Monsieur Dior's love of Scotland, born from the Friends of France post-war charity show in 1955.
Dior promises to spotlight 'tributes to the beauty of journeys and cultures', following previous Cruise shows at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, in a canyon in California, and with flamenco dancers in Seville. The upcoming show is set for 3 June, 2024.
