Has the cold weather evoked a sense of adventure in you? Have you suddenly found yourself dreaming of mountainous terrain far from the steep hills of London? If so, Moncler have your back with their latest Selfridges pop-up exhibiting the House of Genius capsule collection.
Curated and designed by David Fischer, founder and CEO of Highsnobiety, the capsule collection features an array of collaborations (Craig Green, JW Anderson and Palm Angels included) and reimagined pieces all brought together under Mondogenius - Moncler's global digital experience made up of 11 contemporary designer collaborations. The Mondogenius digital premiere took place on 25 September, and as of this week, has been followed up with a physical realm for viewers and Moncler fans alike to dive into at the Corner Shop In Selfridges.
Described in a press release as 'authentic yet modern universe(s) of colour and creativity', the House of Genius retail spaces will be available throughout the world with pop-up stores in London, Seoul, Shanghai and New York, while also be available to experience inside existing Moncler boutiques across 16 cities worldwide. Executive buying & merchandising director of Selfridges Sebastian Manes said of the pop-up's arrival, 'We are thrilled to be welcoming Moncler Genius into the Selfridges Corner Shop, and are excited to bring these exciting drops to our customers.'
The 4-week pop-up space at Selfridges recreates a surreal mountain lodge terrain in true adventure fashion and combines the vibrant Genius yellow - synonymous with Moncler House of Genius - with a variety of mirrored surfaces, meticulously designed so the space can evoke a mountain-inspired environment, for all of Moncler's adventurers out there who like to wander off far and wide in true style. In addition to appealing to the action-packed fanbase of Moncler, two new collaborations will premiere at the pop-up: a limited release of HOKA's Mafate Speed 2 running shoe and an 'upcycling capsule' courtesy of Chen Peng, which features the designer's interpretation of signature Moncler jackets.
Want to get your sense of adventure ticking into action? The Moncler House of Genius pop-up can be experienced now inside Selfridges until 4 December. What are you waiting for?
