From the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris to London’s leading department store, Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Lovers takes over the Corner Shop at Selfridges from 4-7 January.
To unveil his first collection as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director back in June 2023, the multi-hyphenate artist Pharrell shut down Paris with a show held on the Pont Neuf at sunset. A stone’s throw away from the LV HQ, the S/S 24 spectacle introduced a pixelated, camouflage interpretation of the house’s Damier heritage pattern across a full wardrobe of everything from suits and bomber jackets to the Speedy bag and hats.
Set to the backdrop of a live performance by the choir Voices of Fire, led by Pharrell’s uncle, the show was about quite literally bridging together fashion, music and communities, with Pharrell as the leading cultural conductor.
Transforming The Corner Shop at Selfridges, together with a 16 window installations, Louis Vuitton brings the evening debut of Louis Vuitton LOVERS to London and asks ‘What will you do when the sun shines on you?’ The S/S 24 collection is presented on dandies spotted in this imagined city, set atop reflective cubes which have been rendered in a sunset orange and yellow colour scheme developed exclusively for Selfridges.
Look out for events which will be rolling out throughout the takeover, which runs Thursday 4 January - Sunday 7 February, 2024.
